OTNhub Directory Privacy Considerations
Ontario Health’s OTNhub Directory (the “Directory”) is a collaboration tool accessible on the OTNhub for healthcare professionals. As an OTNhub member organization, Members’ professional profiles, Member organization’s site profile and related clinical programs will be published and available to other OTNhub members to facilitate professional collaboration in support of patient care. Users will only access the Directory for communication in conjunction with the use of OTNhub Services.
The Directory was designed as an easy way for OTNhub users to find the people and places using virtual care and to bring improved access to care for patients across Ontario connecting peers and specialists. Consultant profiles allow individuals to clearly define their specialized areas of practice, the catchment areas they serve, types of referrals they accept, as well as scheduling and referral instructions and protocols. These profiles give referring physicians, OTNhub members and schedulers the vital information required to make virtual care work.
Site Profiles Include:
- Site information (Site ID, Site Name, Site Phone Number, Status, Catchment Area Served, Services and Programs Available)
- Site contact information (Name, Title, Phone Number, Fax Number, Email), and Clinical Protocols & Forms
- Activities (Scheduling and Referral Instructions)
- System profiles (Type, Use, Contact Person for Scheduling Purposes, System Room Description & Purpose, List of Peripherals)
Using the OTNhub Directory
When providing information (Consultant, Site, Telemedicine Coordinators, IT Support, and the like.) to Ontario Health for the purposes of posting to the Directory the information should be used to:
- Allow yourself, referring physicians, OTNhub Members and OTNhub Scheduling staff to find the closest OTNhub Member site or organization that supports virtual care for patients.
- Allow you and other OTNhub users to contact each other for the purpose of scheduling virtual care events and the coordination of related referral and consultation activities.
