Ontario Health Regions
Ontario Health has six regional teams that manage the province’s health system.
Ontario Health regions work with local community and health care partners to improve:
- the patient experience
- population health and health equity for people in Ontario
- front-line provider experience
We do this through:
- system planning and managing system integration
- allocating funds to achieve the best possible health outcomes
- monitoring health care performance
- ensuring accountability for health care delivery
Our Approach
The regional teams include health care planners and financial experts who work with providers and partners to manage health care delivery in our communities. Using a population-based health planning approach, the regions help ensure that the people we serve have access to the right care and services when they need them.
