Open Data

Ontario Health collects and manages one of the most comprehensive healthcare data sets in Canada. Data and analytics are essential to meet the growing demand for greater health system accountability, better health outcomes and improved patient experience.

Ontario’s Digital and Data Directive maximizes access to government data. It requires the data we hold to be made public unless it is exempt from release. Exemptions may be for legal, privacy, security, confidentiality or commercially sensitive reasons.

We support the commitment to openness, accountability and transparency set out through the Digital and Data Directive. Our data inventory lists all of our current data sets and identifies the ones that are exempt from release:
