We are committed to addressing racism and discrimination in the health care system.
Our Work
Framework on equity, inclusion, diversity and anti-racism
Our framework highlights our commitment to identify and address the impact of anti-Indigenous and anti-Black racism. It also requires addressing discrimination based on factors such as:
- race
- gender
- disability
- sexual orientation
- religion
- newcomer status
Approaches to address racism and discrimination
We focus on creating approaches to address racism and discrimination in partnership with Indigenous, Black and other communities, organizations and leadership. This ensures our approaches:
- meet community needs and priorities
- are culturally appropriate
For example, our Black and Indigenous health plans, now in development, will reflect the distinct experiences, histories and unique needs of these communities.
