The purpose of this dataset is to securely store emergency room (ER) wait times data related to the provincial ER/Alternate Levels of Care (ALC) Strategy.

PHI is required to determine return on investment, performance improvement, and to calculate percentage of patients returning to an ER within a specified time period as a measure of quality of care and potential negative impact of ER focus.
