- Statement of Purpose
- "Ontario Health maintains the ardiac Registry of adult patients who undergo certain advanced cardiac procedures for the purposes of maintaining the waitlist and providing advice to the government for strategic planning. Cardiac procedures included, but not limited to the following: cardiac catheterization; percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI); cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) and valve surgeries; transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI); and procedures related to regulating or assessing heart rhythm including ablations, electrophysiology studies, and procedures relating to certain devices such as implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)."

- PHI is required to monitor wait times across the province to support Ontario’s wait time strategy, decisions on funding and staffing, and other activities related to the provision of cardiac care within Ontario.
