Adults often visit their doctor for a periodic health examination (a checkup). Periodic health examinations offer people a chance to have their overall health checked, be screened for disease risk, and to ask questions about their health.
Ontario Health reviewed the evidence to find out whether or not periodic health examinations improved people’s health, and how often they should be offered. Ontario Health also looked at whether or not periodic health examinations are cost-effective.
