Communities of Inclusion

Communities of Inclusion at Ontario Health

One of the benefits of becoming an Ontario Health team member is the opportunity to join one of our eight Communities of Inclusion (COI):

  • ARISE (Anti-Racism, Inclusion, Social Justice, Equity)
A community for Black colleagues across the organization and a safe space for discussing relevant issues, including anti-Black racism and taking action to advance equity and anti-racism. As a member of this group, you will have opportunities to build relationships, share insights and perceptions on navigating the organization as a Black person and take action on priority areas.
  • East Asian Community of Inclusion
A safe space for East Asian and Southeast Asian team members to share experiences, contribute to organizational inclusion and participate in events that promote cultural awareness and inclusivity.
  • Jewish Community of Inclusion
A safe space for team members who are Jewish or who identify with or support the Jewish community at Ontario Health.
  • Muslim Community of Inclusion
A safe space for team members who are Muslim or who identify with or support the Muslim community at Ontario Health.
  • Nation to Nation
A safe space for First Nation, Inuit and Métis team members to gather for peer support and sharing of cultural knowledge and experiences.
  • Pride in Health
A community of inclusion for Two-Spirit, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual (2SLGBTQIA+) team members.
  • South Asian Multicultural Alliance (SAMA)
A community that fosters a psychologically and culturally nurturing space for South Asian colleagues to network and drive progressive change.
  • Women in Motion
An inclusive peer support group dedicated to empowering cis and trans women, genderqueer and nonbinary people through networking and learning opportunities.

Benefits of Joining a Community of Inclusion

Each Community of Inclusion is based on building community, providing support and contributing to both personal and professional development in the workplace.

Becoming a member of a Community of Inclusion means meeting other team members who share a common identity and supporting one another in advancing a respectful and inclusive company culture. Members can share insights and perceptions on navigating the organization and contribute to strategic equity initiatives.
